Join us, Tuesday, April 16th, for an encore presentation of ourProductCamp Austin 22 best and runner-up sessions from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. These two fantastic presentations take us through Mastering the Product Resume and Product Hiring Manager Panel. Not only will you get to interact with the presenters during sessions, but there is time for networking and discussions with industry professionals in product (management, marketing, development.)

A little more about the sessions

Mastering the Product Resume Whether you already have a product role or are looking for your first job in product management, this session is for you. You’ll learn the best practices to use, what specific missteps to avoid, and how to clearly show your product skills so companies quickly respond to your resume. We’ll also focus on how to highlight your previous experience outside of product management so you can get land a job in product management. This session will include before and after resumes of real people so you can see how the steps described can result in a superior product resume.

Dan Corbin is the Sr. Director of Product Management at Return Path and Instructor of Product Management at General Assembly. He’s a Certified Scrum Professional with almost 20 years of product development experience. Dan is also the co-organizer of The Product League and the Agile Austin Product SIG meetups, as well as an instructor at Agile Austin U.

Come hear real-world advice from six senior product hiring managers that will help you get hired while enjoying the process. The panel will take your questions and provide invaluable practical assistance whether you are looking today or considering a future job change.

Nicki James has a 21-year career history in Austin’s software organizations, initially in project management and consulting (including start-up ownership) before transitioning into product management, serving first as an individual contributor before leading high-performing teams. A builder and organizer to the core, she has always enjoyed connecting and developing people, and carries a solid reputation for growing teams and organizations. Nicki is also the current PCA board president.

Robert Anderson is the Vice President of Product Management at Idera, Inc., a developer of B2B software in three primary market segments: database tools, development tools, and testing tools. Robert leads all product management and software user experience functions for the company. Robert is also sitting on the PCA board as treasurer.

Reza Shirazi is passionate about building products and building community. He is a senior product manager at AffiniPay. He blogs at Austin Voice of Product (AustinVOP.com) where he interviews product leaders and shares their insights to build a stronger product community in Austin. He is also co-organizer of one of Austin’s largest product meetups – The Product League.

Pam Otten is an award-winning educator, rusty presenter, researcher, trainer, mentor, and self-employed consultant. Pam has nothing to sell but enjoys sharing these job seeking tips that leverage how product managers think and work.
