Volunteer at ProductCamp Austin
As a collaborative, user organized unconference, ProductCamp Austin relies on volunteers for planning and running all of our events. Whether you like being behind the scenes or out in front, there are plenty of ways you can help ProductCamp Austin to continue to be a successful experience. Please let us know how you can help by sending an email to our Volunteer Coordinator.
We need volunteers to help on site at the event with:
- Setup / Teardown
- Session Note Taking
- Session Time Keeping
- Video a Session
- Onsite Technical Support / Expert
- Session Voting / Posting Sessions
- General Activities (whatever comes up that day!)
Most of these activities will take no more than an hour of your time the day of the event and it is likely you won’t even miss a session.
Join the Planning Committee
The PCA Planning Committee continues to plan & organize events in addition to ProductCamp Austin throughout the year. If you are interested in helping drive future ProductCamp activities, or just want to be more involved, please join our Google Group today. Note that the Google Group receives all PCA meeting notices.
We also use a board + active volunteer slack channel to keep up with day-to-day activities in-between planning meetings. This slack channel is separate from the PCA community slack channel which is open for all PCA members to join (link on landing page). If you would like to join the board + active volunteer slack channel, please first attend a board meeting in-person and let us know you would like to be added. If for some reason you do not get added please send an email to our Volunteer Coordinator.
Attend a Board Meeting
All PCA Board meetings are open to PCA members, attending one of the board meetings is the best way to get to know the organizers and get more involved. We post all of our in-person board meetings to our Meetup Group so it’s available to anyone.
