The Summer heat is pressing down in full force, which can mean only one thing- ProductCamp Austin 9 is almost here! For our hundred plus friends that came out for ProductParty a few weeks ago, I’m sure we can all agree that our efforts to build a vibrant community have been a wild success. Thank you for helping make this community great. Now we are returning the favor. Be a Leader
By charter rule, ProductCamp Austin (PCA) will hold board elections during our August 18th ProductCamp event. The responsibility to collect and present the slate of candidates for office is held by the Nomination Review Committee. If you are a member of PCA (have attended an event during the past year) and wish to declare your candidacy for a particular board position, please send an email to Paul@ProductCampAustin.org by Friday, August 10th. Please include the following information:
- email address
- a short bio (current title, current employer, previous employment, skills/experience relevant to the PCA Board position)
If approved, your name will be added to the list of prospective Board candidates, which will be posted online. Newly elected officers begin their one year term of service immediately following ProductCamp.

For those interested in proposing sessions, start working on your presentations now. To help better target topics to each participant’s interest, we added a new session classification called “Target Audience”. This new classification includes PM Essentials for those new to a topic of interest and are looking for core knowledge and skills, PM Advanced for those that already have experience in a topic and are looking to increase their depth of knowledge and PM for Entrepreneurs for those that are in startups or small businesses and want to learn to apply the principals of Product Management/Product Marketing to their businesses.
